Around Sarasota

Sarasota is right in the middle of the gulf coast of Florida and has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. If you have time, stay a little longer and enjoy it!

We have a handful of great beaches to check out.

Siesta Key was voted #1 in the US this year!   The beach has the most beautiful powdery white sand. Siesta Village has a cute beachy feel, like you've stepped back into the 70's.   There are lots of fun restaurants and funky bars to have a cocktail at.

Lido Key has a nice white sandy beach & is close to downtown Sarasota.  There is great shopping in St. Armands Circle on the way to the beach.   For a killer scoop of gelato, check out Settini's...yummm!

Long Boat Key is a bit more refined with its sprawling mansions and golf courses, but there are some beautiful beaches as well.

Aside from our beautiful coastal beaches, Sarasota is know for it's interest in the Arts and Culture.   Some other great sites to see are:

The Ringling Museum of Art- The original art collection of John Ringling's.   There is a great circus museum on the estate, a world class rose garden, the Ca'dzan Mansion and beautiful grounds to peruse.
Mote Marine Aquarium- They just got a new penguin exhibit we've been dying to see!
Towles Court- a quaint artist community with a bunch of wonderful little galleries and restaurants.
Burns Court District- Built in the 20's, the Burns District has a handful of new cute boutiques, a bunch of great little restaurants and a fantastic indie cinema that serves beer and wine to accompany your viewing pleasure.

We'll have more fun info. soon...
